Savory snack, sweet sauce.
A TikTok user recently shared a mix-up with her Domino’s Pizza order that frustrated her, especially since she had added dessert-specific sauces to her original order. The TikToker, known as ImJusagirlll (yourfavoriteghettobarbie), turned to the platform to vent about allegedly receiving a savory item despite ordering cinnamon bites and adding icing.
In her video, she explained her version of the situation in an expletive-filled statement. She claimed, “I ordered some motherf–king cinnamon bites from motherf–king Domino’s. To prove it, I got the motherf–king icing. And right here, b—h, tell me the motherf–k why these b—hes gave me motherf–king parmesan bites with some motherf–king icing. What the f–k am I gonna do with this s–t?”
The comments reflected her frustration. After all, ending up with savory parmesan bites when you are craving the sweet, sugary taste of cinnamon bites is definitely a letdown. One TikToker noted, “I woulda been so p*ssed.” Another agreed, stating, “Omg they did this shit to meeeee!.” A third shared a similar story, commenting, “They did that to me today I ordered parm bites and they gave me cinnamon bites with marinara sauce.”
Food with insurance
Others found a way to still see the positive side. One wrote, “At least if it’s on delivery u get a full refund.” Another explained they would take it in stride, writing, “My greedy [a**] would eat it and lick the icing.”
If you ever find yourself in a similar situation with a delivery order, it is worth noting that Domino’s has a policy for these issues. According to the Domino’s Delivery Insurance Program, customers who are not satisfied with their delivery order can report the issue online.
You just need to be older than thirteen and have placed a delivery order from a participating location. If you meet that criteria, you have to report the issue through the order confirmation page or the Domino’s Tracker within sixteen hours of submitting your order. This is something that could have potentially been used when a delivery was badly delayed for another TikToker, rather than her going to the store to demand a refund.
Then you can choose between receiving Delivery Insurance Points or a discount coupon for a future online order. You can only get the points if you are a member of the Domino’s Rewards loyalty program, or you must enroll within seven days of reporting the issue.
The company may also, at its sole discretion, initiate a Delivery Insurance Offer by sending you an email notification. Once customer would would have appreciated this was the Pizza Hut customers whose entire $50 New Yorker order seems to have been smashed. For those who prefer to pick up their food themselves, Domino’s also offers Carryout Insurance. This program covers various accidents that might happen after you leave the store.
Whether you hit a pothole, tripped on a sprinkler, or even if your dog licked your pizza, the company states that if damage occurs, you can bring the entire order back to the store. As long as you return it in the original packaging within two hours of purchase, they will remake it for free. You just need to make sure none of the order is missing when you bring it back.
While the user in the video was clearly upset, knowing the official policies for both delivery and carryout can help you navigate future food mishaps with a bit more confidence. It is always a good idea to check the specific terms on the company website to see if your local store participates in these programs.
Even when things go sideways, having a clear path to a refund or a replacement can turn a bad meal into a much better experience. Just remember that the next time you are craving those cinnamon bites, you should probably double-check the box before you settle in for your snack.
